#3 But, but, UN-backed GNA were winning, according to yesterday's agitprop? The LNA and the GNA are based in the east and west respectively. Less than a month ago, the LNA was on the outskirts of Tripoli, and GNA was making a last stand. Now the LNA is defending Sirte, which is east of Misrata, which is itself to the east of Tripoli. Basically, the LNA is on the run, and it's not looking good for Haftar, who's heading it up. If Haftar loses Sirte, the next stop is Benghazi, after which Haftar wraps it up and crosses the border into Egypt and exile once again. |
