Another CoVid19 Victim or WTF? Ima confused? The Baden autopsy differs [10 News] An autopsy released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner on Wednesday show that George Floyd officially died from a heart attack. The autopsy also indicated he was positive for the coronavirus based on a postmortem nasal swab collected after his death. Floyd died on Memorial Day after then Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin held a knee to Floyd's neck for nearly nine minutes, likely causing his death. Chauvin has been charged with homicide, and three other officers have been charged with aiding and abetting a homicide. The Medical Examiner said on Monday that the cause of death was a homicide experienced while suffering from a heart attack while be restrained. The medical examiner, Dr. Andrew Baker, concluded that Floyd died of a heart attack complicated by restrained and compressed by the neck. The autopsy showed that Floyd had tested positive for the coronavirus on April 3. The report said that the autopsy result likely reflects an asymptomatic but persistent infection from the virus. The autopsy also showed that Floyd had a number blunt-force injuries, including to the shoulders, hands, elbows and legs. The report indicated a number of contusions to the head and neck, the report shows. While the autopsy indicated several blunt-force injuries, the examiner said that there were no life-threatening injuries identified. The report noted that Floyd had hypertensive heart disease. It also indicated that Floyd had fentanyl and methamphetamines in his system at the time of death.

#19 He wasn't choked in the video, Bob. One or both arteries delivering blood to the brain were blocked by the knee. See The Carotid Sinus Strike. |

#18 I read the full report; he had: - enlarged heart - cardiovascular disease (up to 75% blockage of some arteries) - fentanyl in his system - meth in his system - caffeine in his system - COVID-19 antibodies what he didn't have: - bruising around the neck - petechial hemorrhage (anywhere) - any other trauma in the neck area (like a broken hyoid bone) i'm assuming the truth lies in what happened between the time they approached him and when he ended up on the ground. but with all that stuff in his system, along with everything else stacked against the guy, unless some new information comes to light, those charges against the cops aren't going to stick. |

#17 Meth is bad For those of you who have not had the pleasure of dealing with such people, there is a meme going about with R2D2 on the left, and an abused roadside trash can on the right. "Meth. Not Even Once." It is spot. on. Except in this case, the droids will tear your arms off if they lose. |

#15 He was minding his own bidness drinking and taking drugs on the roof of a building. It isn't like he was giving anyone a haircut or anything dangerous like that. |

#11 a certain lack of compliance Classic. Deserves its own acronym: CLOC If there's ever a remake of Cool Hand Luke, this phrase deserves to be given to the warden character |

#9 So now it's ok to induce a heart attack in a compliant arrestee? Ignoring the straw man for the moment, I believe a certain lack of compliance was the root of the problem. |

#6 Change of venue won't keep the Hennepin County ME's report out. That's not to say Crump might not find another way to have it excluded, but I think it's unlikely it will be disallowed wherever the case is heard. |

#1 The first autopsy was performed by a medical examiner hired by the family, clearly. This autopsy was performed by a medical examiner who worked for the local establishment of local law enforcement works for, clearly. After all of this George probably looks like a black frankenstein! |
