No outdoor sport, no walks as Israel set to impose tighter coronavirus lockdown
2020-03-25
[YNet] - Israelis would be banned from moving more than 100 meters away from their homes; new restrictions would also be in effect for take aways but not deliveries; public transportation also to be drastically scaled back, leaving single-occupant only cabs.

#10  If all you want is the words without all the bells and whistles, Dave D. translated an earlier draft into PDF for me. If you leave your email in the O Club chatroom, I‘ll be happy to share — and O Club discussions are not archived.

#9  Amazon lists it here as currently unavailable, Woodrow, the 14th volume of the Frauen in der Wesermarsch (Lower Saxony) series. My grandmother and a number of female relations also feature in volume 6, in the section on how Jewish women coped under the Nazis.

#8  TW where could we find this? (my grandmother’s war memoir)

#7  Today we have "Backshops" with Brötchen that have no taste.

#6  It’s true, dear European Conservative — we left our pretty house in Bad Soden am Taunus in 1995, though we did come back to visit in 2010 for the publication party of the English translation of my grandmother’s war memoir, courtesy of the Landkreis Wesermarsch Frauenbüro. In 2010 I was mostly shocked by the number of cars on the Autobahn and the traffic jams due to construction almost the entire length from Frankfurt to Hildesheim, leaving no time to look for bread rolls.

#5  Oh TW, you haven't been in Germany for a long time methinks.

#4   How would you shop for groceries?

Have an order delivered, like Brötchen hung on the front doorknob.

#2  100 meters? How would you shop for groceries?

#1  Interestingly, I look from my balcony (I don't smoke IN the house), and see no evidence of such closure. In fact, the three construction jobs* around my house are going full tilt.

*Tama 38 is an Israeli national outline construction plan aimed for existing residential buildings that are in risk of being severely damaged on an earthquake. The Israeli national construction earthquake standard named 413 standard took place only on construction projects that were built from 1980.
It's been abolished because the augmented buildings are not (speaking mildly) as good new buildings - I've flooding every winter etc...
