| Army Publishes 16-Year Modernization Plan to Outpace China With New Battle Concept |

| [Epoch Times] As the U.S. Army hunkered down for the war on terror, phrases such as "counter-insurgency" and "IEDs" became familiar to most Americans, along with the "shock and awe" introduced during the earlier Gulf War. But now, if Army modernizers have read the runes right, two new phrases are set to dominate the future of U.S. warfare: "Multi-Domain Operations" and "Great Power Competition." Those ideas lie at the heart of the 16-year Army Modernization Strategy recently published by the newly-minted Army Futures Command. As the U.S. Army mastered the art of counter-insurgency in the dusty plains of Helmand Province and the streets of Baghdad’s Green Zone, and the world entered the age of the iPhone, China and Russia were working on ambitious strategies that harnessed the latest technology from the ground up. In the past 15 years, China quietly tripled its annual military spending to an estimated $200 billion, with a clear focus on leveraging the latest developments such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and hypersonic missiles to unbalance the U.S. military. |

| #16 I was commenting on Lex's post. I am a supporter of president Trump. I recall that he said he wanted to improve relations with Russia during the campaign. It was one of the reasons I voted for him. Do you still think I am a bot? Will you start calling me comrade? This Russia mania is ridiculous. We need to patch it up with Russia, as our brilliant POTUS suggested. We need to cut China off at the knees, economically. It is my fondest hope that he will do so. That will avoid a devastating conflict they are building to. Trump, much maligned, for world peace. |

| #7 Step 1: Don't send $500 billion/year to China. Step 2: Don't send all US tech to China. Step 3: Don't leak all aspects of US tech and government to China. Step 3: Don't educate Chinese nationals on cutting edge US technology. Steps 5-NN become much easier. |
