#11 The creepiest part of the HAL character was reactivation in 2010. HAL was completely ignorant of the crimes he committed and was again so flawlessly logical that "he" agreed to facilitate his own destruction. Clarke was way ahead of everyone in understanding the flawed coin AI would have to be. |

#10 Well, it was HAL, and Arthur C. Clarke swore up and down and left and right it was a complete coincidence that HAL was IBM offset by one letter. HAL was a lesson in the nature of GIGO. All the social justice crap that will be coded into any AI project funded by the leftist blob will be, to paraphrase Heinlein, "indistinguishable from a psychotic newt on crack..." |

#9 Seriously what could go wrong...go wrong...go wrong...Hal? |

#6 The only valid argument I ever heard in defense of Microsoft Windows is that it's "good enough". So now that I hear that the inventor of "good enough" is going to make AI smarter than humans, it kinda makes me chuckle. |

#5 The Donks think that this is their future voting base. Let's look at the semantics, who gets to define SMART? |

#4 I expect the Donks to shut that program down, it would endanger their voting base. |

#2 aims to make computers smarter than humans I'm afraid for most folks they already are. |
