Badghis clash inflict casualties on both Taliban and Afghan Special Forces

[KhaamaPress] A heavy clash between Talibs and Afghan Special Forces ended in Badghis province inflicting casualties on both sides.

According to reports, the Special Forces descend on Taliban headquarters in Jangal Pista sparked heavy festivities which continued for several hours.

Qazi Abdul Rahim Rahin, a former parliament from Badghis confirmed that the clash inflicted heavy casualties on the two sides.

Rahin further added that the Special Forces suffered heavy casualties as they were not familiar with the area where thick jungles exist.

He also added that the Special Forces killed 19 Talibs and maimed 20 others during the clash.

he said the Special Forces also lost 18 soldiers during the clash while Taliban captured 6 others.

In the meantime, the Ministry of Defense in a statement confirmed the clash, claiming that heavy casualties were inflicted on Taliban.

The defense ministry however did not disclose further information regarding the casualties of the Special Forces.

i said the Afghan forces suffer casualties due to the lack of coordination among security institution, lack of intelligence and incapability of the leadership of ministry of defense.

Kohistani further added that the Special Operations have increased recently to suppress enemy but unfortunately the lack of coordination among security sectors, lack of intelligence information and administrative weakness in the ministry of defense result in Special Forces casualties.

He also warned that the issues will result in a reduction in Special Forces number, capture of military equipment by enemy besides having a negative impact on morale of the military.
