European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has lashed out at "stupid nationalists" on the eve of European elections in which euroskeptic politicians are expected to make gains in the European Parliament. In an interview with CNN on Wednesday, the outgoing president said he was only too aware of the threat that nationalist politicians pose to European solidarity, which Juncker called the "main objective of the EU." Some polls project that populists may become the most powerful group in the parliament following this week's elections in all 28 EU nations, resulting in a lasting impact on the future of the bloc and the continent at large. "These populist, nationalists, stupid nationalists, they are in love with their own countries," Juncker told CNN in his Brussels office. "They don't like those coming from far away, I like those coming from far away ... we have to act in solidarity with those who are in a worse situation than we are in," he said. You don't build a wall because you hate the people outside. You build a wall because you love the people inside. Druncker obviously does not love his own people. Instead he considers them The Other, like most of the Left. The former prime minister of Luxembourg, who has served as European Commission President since 2014, said he remained sad at the UK's decision to leave the EU, but now wants to see the Brexit process come to an end: "We have to stop this process because it's harming the general atmosphere in Europe. It's harming growth perspectives worldwide." "It's harming me and the people I care about while helping The Other." Juncker said he doesn't operate in the business of hate: "Many people hate me, but I don't hate anybody. If you hate someone you cannot work with them." And then his lips fell off. |

Actually, blood seems to be an ingredient in a lot of deer repellents. Herbivores don't seem to like it. (My mum was engaged in constant chemical war against critters determined to eat her flowers and she tried a number of them) I have no idea if this would work on jihadis. |

I am at the moment mourning the fact that my neighbour’s very large tree fell over and damaged his fence, which until now has done double duty: picturesquely demarcating the border between our properties and forcing the deer to go around my little bit of wild-ish woods, even as the equally picturesque fence belonging to the neighbour on my other side has declined in a key spot to remain vertical for reasons of its own. I anticipate hordes of deer descending on my hosta and various native plants that have been spreading nicely, attacked until now only by a single family of rabbit parents, whose offspring annually emigrate to greener pastures. |

European Commission President Juncker is lashing out because his side is losing the argument, poor man, and soon he will find himself looking for other outlets for his creative energies. You don't build a wall because you hate the people outside. You build a wall because you love the people inside. This is true of you, President Trump, and the Hungarians, Herb. But not exactly true of the Communists ruling East Germany or the Nazis fencing round their concentration camps, once upon a time, I raise the point because you’ve been tending toward over-broad statements lately. |

| #2 Time for Nationalists to run a sustainable non-balkanised Europe as a grouping for the People's of Europe and solely encompassing the interests they share. Have a system to share information making getting a Visa for permission to travel to another country simple and as inexpensive as possible. |
