Baghdadi remains on the run between Syria and Iraq: source
2019-04-03
[ALMASDARNEWS] The infamous leader of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS), His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...the head of ISIS, or what remains of it, and a veteran of the Abu Graib jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us. So far he has been killed at least four times, though not yet by a stake through the heart...
, is believed to be currently on the run between the borders of Syria and Iraq, a military source in Damascus told al-Masdar News this morning.

According to the military source, al-Baghdadi has been frequently changing his hideouts between Iraq’s al-Anbar Governorate, and Syria’s Homs and Deir Ezzor governorates.

The source said the Syrian and Iraqi intelligence wings are working closely to discover his whereabouts, but due to his constant movement through the vast desert region between Iraq and Syria, it has proven to be a difficult task.

He would add that al-Baghdadi is believed to be under the protection of several trusted bodyguards, including many of close confidants that were previously active in al-Anbar and Deir Ezzor.

Some rumors about al-Baghdadi have indicated that the terrorist leader has gained a significant amount of weight and altered his appearance so that he could evade capture by the Iraqi and Syrian security forces.

While his forces have lost nearly all of their territory in Syria and Iraq, al-Baghdadi and his comrades will likely continue to remain hidden in the Syrian Desert until the Islamic State can regroup and retake the ground they lost in the past year.
