According to the military source, the Syrian Arab Army sent a large number of troops to southwestern Aleppo and eastern Idlib after Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
was observed building up their forces at these fronts.The source said the Syrian Arab Army’s high command believes that Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham is preparing to launch a big attack against the government forces in both southwestern Aleppo (Rashiddeen axis) and eastern Idlib (Abu Dhuhour axis).
The news of a potential jihadist offensive comes just days before the Syrian government and opposition prepare to meet at the Astana Peace Conference.
