The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military in the North in a statement said the operations were conducted to reconnect a gas pipeline which was destroyed by Talibs 15 days ago.
The statement further added that the Afghan forces launched their operations with close air support and artillery fire from Imam Sahib Village of Chemtal and cleared the area where works were done to reconnect the gas pipeline.
In another
which was conducted in areas of Old Chemtal and Qashqar areas of the district, 2 Talibs were killed, 2 others were maimed and 3 vehicles were destroyed, the 209th Shaheen Corps added.According to 209th Shaheen Corps, the local residents and security personnel have not suffered casualties during the operations.
