| Syrian Army uncovers 7 mass graves with hundreds of bodies in Deir Ezzor | |

| [ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) uncovered seven mass graves in the Deir Ezzor countryside on Tuesday, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported. According to the report, the Syrian military found the seven mass graves near the large city of Albukamal in southeast Deir Ezzor. The mass graves contained the remains of hundreds of unidentified people that were likely killed by the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... (ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS). A SANA news hound said that the Syrian military found the mass graves while conducting a combing operation outside Albukamal city. The news hound added that teams from the local civil defense and Syrian Arab Red Islamic Thingy had recovered 101 bodies already, many of which appear to have been tortured and abused before being killed, clarifying that work is underway to retrieve more bodies.
The people, as yet unidentified, were believed killed by ISIS when the militant group controlled the area. The city al-Boukamal exchanged hands several times before the Syrian army and their allies finally took control in November 2017. It is the last major urban centre in the Euphrates River valley before the border with Iraq. | |
