The 10 Most Destructive Americans of My 8 Decades |
2018-10-18 |
[American Thinker] America has undergone enormous change during the nearly eight decades of my life. Today, America is a bitterly divided, poorly educated and morally fragile society with so-called mainstream politicians pushing cynical identity politics, socialism and open borders. The president of the United States is threatened with impeachment because the other side doesn’t like him. The once reasonably unbiased American media has evolved into a hysterical left wing mob. How could the stable and reasonably cohesive America of the 1950s have reached this point in just one lifetime? Who are the main culprits? Here’s my list of the 10 most destructive Americans of the last 80 years. |

#8 No Rachel Carson? No Herbert Marcuse? No John Dewey? Not a bad list by AT, but there's some recency bias. |

#7 I think a lot of people these days don't remember Lyndon Johnson but the whole country went nuts during the 1960s, was damn near torn apart, and LBJ was the reason. I continue to wonder at the irony of LBJ claiming to fight communism in Vietnam while he implemented his communist inspired Great Society policies here in this country. He claimed to be fighting for democracy but he sent draftees, who were deemed too young to be allowed to vote, into harm's way to defend South Vietnamese regimes that were little more than military dictatorships. I'm sure even most Rantburgers weren't alive during Franklin Roosevelt's administration. But I think FDR and LBJ should occupy the #1 and #2 positions. Social Security, Medicare, Affirmative Action and HUD typify the modern Democrat approach with big government interference in the lives of people. ObamaCare is the direct descendant of these communist based policies that could eventually lead to the bankruptcy and downfall of our nation. The taxes take enormous chunks out of our incomes which in turn erodes our freedom. But even these taxes are not enough and we continue to incur astronomical amounts of debt. We are still suffering from the policies that FDR and LBJ implemented and I don't know how we can ever recover from them. Kerry may be a treasonous bastard but he thankfully never had the kind of power that FDR or LBJ had. Interesting that, instead of even mentioning Richard Nixon, the writer goes after Mark Felt. Nixon was a Boy Scout compared to Cronkite's beloved Kennedys. |

#6 Soros. He's been in America enough and thrown discord and disruption wide and far in the US with his blood money, trying to destroy us from within. |

#4 Article does not mention that John Kerry is alleged to be meeting with Iranians and advising them how to avoid, go around and to wait out the Trump sanctions designed to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons and further support global terrorism. #2 And - how can a country be 'divided' when it's clear that only one side of it is acting like spoiled adult brats 24 / 7 / 365? |
