4 paramilitary personnel killed, injured in bomb blast, northeast of Diyala
Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Four paramilitary personnel were killed and injured in a bomb blast, northeast of Diyala, a security source said on Tuesday.
Speaking to Mawazin News website, the source said “a bomb went off as a patrol of al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces) was passing from Hamreen side, northeast of Diyala. One personnel was killed and three others were injured.”
Troops, according to the source, “cordoned the scene and transferred the wounded to nearby hospital for treatment, while the victim was taken to forensic medicine department,”
Iraqi troops destroy four IS hideouts, detonate seven bombs in Diyala
Diyala (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi security forces destroyed on Tuesday four hotbeds of Islamic State during a security operation in Diyala, a security source was quoted as saying.
Speaking to Mawazin News, the source said that the 24th brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) took part in the operation, which kicked off early today in northeastern Diyala.
“Four Islamic State hideouts were destroyed and seven bombs were detonated during the operation,” added the source.
