DNC says ‘no way' Republicans hold the House
2018-10-17
[PRESSTV] The vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) says he predicts there is "no way" that Republicans would be able to preserve their majority in the US House of Representatives.

Michael Blake made the comment in an interview with The Hill on Tuesday, three weeks before the midterm elections.

"There is no way the Republicans are going to hold the House," he said, downplaying reports of GOP voters becoming more motivated to cast their ballots.

The DNC official said the upcoming elections was becoming similar to 2016 in that many disaffected voters eventually decided to reconcile with their party.

"At the end of the day, the polling has essentially leveled out where we expected. People came back home," he said.

Blake, however, said a repeat of the last presidential election is unlikely as Democrats have learned from their former presidential nominee Perennial Presidential Campaigner Hillary Crooked Hillary Clinton
... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away...
’s decision to take certain states’ votes for granted.

"The biggest difference is that we didn’t mobilize our base," Blake said. "When you look at Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania in particular, we did not mobilize as Democrats in these areas that we should have. If you don’t campaign in Wisconsin after losing in the primary, if you don’t mobilize in Western Michigan, you don’t mobilize in Western Pennsylvania, you’re going to lose those states."

#11  A lot of this is self inflicted - several GOP candidates screwed up, and the seats will flip back the next term once they put a decent candidate up.

Senat on the other hand is looking like 54 and maybe as many as 56-7 seats. So go ahead and tryo to impeach Trump - the Senate is where the trial is held, and they'll dismiss it right away.

#10  Michael, since there's ZERO CHANCE, can I bullwhip your ass in the public square on live TV if you're wrong? I mean, there's ZERO CHANCE, right?

#8  If they try an impeachment without any evidence (and so far - that will really piss a *lot* of people off for 2020.

Or one will hope...

#7  Nobody holds people accountable for being wrong prior to the election so why not just say what you hope will happen.

#6  I've had a gut hunch that there isn't a blue wave for a while. The party in power usually loses seats during the mid terms like clockwork. But this isn't usual times.

I predict the dems will either be a few seats short or a few seats over for the House. It will basically be deadlocked for the next 2 years.

As for the Senate, the pubs will actually gain 2-3 seats.

So if there is sometime of impeachment push from the house, it certainly won't go anywhere. Expect more deadlock and little of nothing happening for the next couple years.

#5  Why would anybody expect a DNC liar official to say anything positive about the RNC's chances? The more they talk the more it seems that they are nervous.

#4  Judicial Watch, I believe found that there are some 3.5 million more registered voters than there are live adults in the US. San Diego led that charge with something over 800,000, uh, additional registers vs actual adult population.

#3  The polls are fixed to favor democrats.

The media favors democrats.

Democrats only talk to and associate with democrats.

What could possibly go wrong?

The same echo chamber that made Nixon's election and DJT's election such a gut buster.

Hillary Clinton to the white courtesy phone

#2  Don't forget with Democrats, well the graveyard votes over and over again.

#1  He could be right. Or he could be whistling past the graveyard. Time will tell.
