New Rules for Men
2018-10-03
And so we have arrived, in the Brett Kavanaugh affair, the inevitable and ultimate apotheosis of #MeToo ‐ the vilification of men qua men.

Now, one accusation alone ‐ no matter how unsubstantiated and uncorroborated ‐ is enough to ruin a man’s reputation, nullify his accomplishments and erase his opportunities...for life.

This is apparently the standard set, and accepted, by roughly half of the country as represented by the Democrat party.

We have thus entered something new and dangerous. And in light of this new reality, new rules for men vis a vis the opposite sex are required. Here are some baseline suggestions:

#11  I stopped dating years ago, precisely because of this phenomenon - it was coming, and you could see it as clear as day. It doesn't eliminate the threat but greatly reduces the chances for some psycho c&nt to take a shot at me.

#10  They are apparently longing for a return to puritanism, women not being allowed out without chaperones, women too fragile to do anything outside the home, etc. It's ticking my wife off.

#9  Maybe we should start emulating the Muslims - a strict apartheid between males and females. You don't meet or even see your wife's face until your wedding day.
Of course, that makes it tough for women to earn money and have careers, but oh, well.

#8  The answer is simple, 1. Never be alone with a woman not your wife. 2. Wear a body camera with audio. 3. When they desire sex, tell them you need a signed, notarized consent contract with 4 sober witnesses. 4. When they whine how this hurts them in business, explain that lawsuits hurt more and you have to protect yourself.

#7  True, but only if you are a white republican...

#6  I pray for my son every day.

He is a chip off the old block, being a man, and being himself.

The way the rules are written, we all have to move to some disserted island.

I say that if men would just do a reverse Lysistrata on them, they would soon find out they actually need us for something other than a punching bag and someone to take out the trash.

I got into it with the wife a couple of years ago and moved into the spare bedroom...didn't take long for her to seek forgiveness and offer an apology.

#5  The problem with 'saying something offensive' is that it is purely the subjective judgement of a bystander in the moment who may well be equally if not more intoxicated. One of Mrs Ceasre's friends of old used to hang around our place with the hope of free beverages and would become increasingly indignant as the evening would go on. When she finally went off in a semi-drunken stupor over me playing with our dog even Mrs C's feminine loyalty was done.

#4  “Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.”

#3  The stentch of accusation will hang in the air around the accused no matter the lack of evidence.
How many of amongst us have acted inappropriately at one point in our life. An off color joke. Getting intoxicated when young and and saying something offensive. I know I have in my cups.
Every time these kind of witch hunts take place I think "there but for the grace of God go I"

#2  Consent is established in outlying counties in Nevada. Making relationships purely 'commercial'. I'm sure the usual suspect are working as we read, to end that clear, viable consent.

#1  It seems not to apply to democrat men though.

Also Hollywood men.

They get more than allegations but they seem to be ignored.
