#5 NASA is one of the few things Americans can be proud of that the Federal Government does. If you begrudge the 0.5% out of your federal taxes. That whole penny out of two bucks of every tax dollars well I'll pick up your share. |

#3 JFK wouldn't even qualify for the Left Wing of the Democratic Party today. Of course NASA is a Target of the "if we could onl spend that money on......". Never understanding that NASA doesn't get as much as they think. I happen to think that NASA does waste a lot of it's budget. But I put that more on Congress and various administration's changing goals and policies. |

#2 I'm not sure this was done for foreign audiences so much as because lefties have been saying American has never been great and there is no such thing as American excellence and the moon landing proves both wrong. The left can't even think of JFK as great anymore. |
