| Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) ‐ A member of the paramilitary Popular Mobilization Forces was killed and two others were maimed in a kaboom in Salahuddin province, a security source was quoted as saying on Sunday. Speaking to Baghdad Today website, the source said an explosive charge targeted a security patrol of the 52nd brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Amirli town in eastern Salahuddin. "The kaboom left a fighter dead and two others injured," according to the source. Popular Mobilization Forces, an alliance of volunteer Shia paramilitary forces, have actively backed the Iraqi government’s military campaign against Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference.
