| Attack by unknown gunmen claims the life of a senior army officer in Kabul |

| [KhaamaPress] A senior army officer lost his life in an attack by unknown button men in Kabul city earlier today, the defense officials confirmed. The incident took place in the vicinity of the 5th police district of the city in Company area after unknown button men opened fire on the senior officer as he was travelling towards his work station. A source in the ministry of defense confirmed that the army officer, Hamid, who was serving in a military hospital, lost his life in the attack. In the meantime, the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... group claims that the army officer was killed in an attack by the Taliban fighters. Taliban front man Zabiullah Mujahid in a statement claimed that the officer was rubbed out by the Taliban fighters in Company area. |
