Rep. Steve Cohen Melts Down, Defends Tweet Calling for Military Coup
2018-07-19
[BREITBART] Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) this week repeatedly defended his tweet that implied that America needed to have a military coup to remove President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
after his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
Trump held a summit with Putin on Monday, in which the 45th president declined to directly chastise Putin for allegedly trying to influence the 2016 presidential election, even when asked by an News Agency that Dare Not be Named (AP) news hound to do so. President Trump blamed the Russia investigation for some of the friction between the two countries.

In response to the summit, Rep. Cohen tweeted on Monday, "Where are our military folks? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!"

#19  For the last several presidents, the military vote has split approximately 75% Republican, 25% Democrat, if I recall correctly. But that will not translate into following orders to attack fellow citizens.

#18  These dolts are fighting for control of the Democrat party right now. their virtue signaling is loud and vile but that's all it is. Hopefully they'll continue the hot rhetoric until after the 2020 election trouncing.

#16  Honestly, *Shudder*, Coups are a door we desperately don't want to go through-- it has a sign over it: "One Way: NO RETURN!"

I disagree. The trajectory is set, and bloodshed is inevitable. We need to go through this door and the sooner the better. Yes, it will be terrible, however think of it as an opportunity to do some much needed clean up. We need to do it while we have the best likelihood of prevailing.

#12  West Point graduated a Communist recently.

And he's already been cashiered and the no longer in office dem who got him into the academy is even backpedaling. As the officers who had problems with Rapone are (AFAIK) still at the academy it was a good training exercise.

#11  Don't be so smug about solid support from the military. Things are changing. West Point graduated a Communist recently.

#10  I frankly like the idea that people wishing for such a thing are completely ignorant about the realities of the matter.

#7  All bets are off when the shooting starts. I don't believe that anybody can predict what might happen. That's why we don't want it to happen.

#6  WHERE would you get the backing for a military coup?

#5  The Congress replaced by General James N. Mattis? Where's the downside ?
Posted by: Besoeker   2018-07-19 07:14

#4  Yeah? And I can just see the USMarine Corp backing this guy. And the Army? The folks the Pentagon ?

They hate the dorks and their "respect"and efforts of the Donk base to defund them and spit on them. It will be a cold day in hell before the ranks and the NCOs back a democratic Party Coup.

You want to get shot real fast ? Be an officer or some stupid unit that tries to co-ordinate a Coup. WHERE would you get the backing for a military coup? The men in the military are not stupid. They know the donks are not their friends.

You want to drive up from Belvoir and surround the White House?
You want to takeover a TV station and have some General go before the cameras ? You want to announce " new elections ".

And you will see Quantico a half hour later not even negotiate with you. They will just start killing democrats and any officer who backs them..... that fast.

This clown isn't thinking. And he certainly doesn't know the Military. The Military hate him and what he stands for. I will give you a clue about the base for Trump.....they puke on Obama and the donks .....and so does the Military.

#1  Idiot! You are supposed to say that on the floor of Congress -- out in the "Real World" there are all sorts of legal penalties for saying the wrong thing.
