MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) - A 37-year-old woman suffered injuries to her face after falling in between a gap on the Racine Street Bridge while on her bike, according to Menasha Police.Police say around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the woman rode her bike into the opening between the bridge approach area, and the bridge span. The span was in the up position at the time.
According to witnesses. passerbys were able to assist the woman from the gap, along with her bike. The woman was transported to Thedacare Regional Medical Center - Neenah, where she was treated for facial injuries.
Police tell us alcohol is believed to have been a factor. The incident is still under investigation.
One must wonder.
