| Yemeni (Loyalist) army enters district of Abes in the province of Hajjah |

| [ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The coalition-backed Yemeni army has regained the first districts Hajjah after entering Abes on Tuesday. The Head of the Guidance Division in the Fifth Military Region, Col. Mohammed Salem al-Khulani, said that the army was able to liberate the village of Habal, the first village of Abes district adjacent to the Hiran and Midi provinces. Khulani added that the fighting was still ongoing and that the army continued its incursion into the Hiran and Abes districts, as the teams began the process of extracting the landmines planted by the Huthi militias before they fled. The military source also pointed out that the continuous fighting and raids by coalition fighters resulted in significant human and material losses among the Houthi ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews... militias. |
