Houthis agree to put Hodeidah port under UN surveillance

special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, has informed Yemeni president Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi that the Houthis have accepted putting the port city of Hodeidah under a UN surveillance.

It is expected that Griffiths would meet later in the day with president Hadi and other local legitimate officials in the city in order to discuss efforts to spare Hodeidah a military confrontation and to resume political negotiations.
