| Afghan forces and Taliban suffer casualties in Kunduz clashes |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Afghan cops and the Talibs suffered casualties during the festivities in northern Kunduz province of Afghanistan. The provincial government media office in a statement said the festivities erupted after a group of armed Lions of Islam launched a coordinated attack on security posts in Dasht Archi district. The statement further added the bully boyz attacked the security posts belonging to Afghan National Army and the Afghan Local Police forces in Bazaar area late on Monday night. According to the provincial government, at least seven Talibs were killed and at least five others were maimed during the festivities. At least two Afghan army soldiers and two Afghan Local Police personnel also bit the dust during the festivities, the statement said, adding that two army soldiers and two coppers also sustained injuries. |
