FBI vows to train employees to avoid bias after devastating report
2018-06-15
[Wash Times] The FBI will make its employees undergo bias training, Director Christopher A. Wray promised Thursday, after a devastating report found the bureau made bad decisions, has a culture of leaking sensitive information, and may have skewed campaign-season decisions because of bias.
But according the Inspector General and FBI Director "There was no bias related to the Clinton and Trump investigations."
New text messages released by the Justice Department inspector general showing conversations between Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok and paramour FBI lawyer Lisa Page suggest a deep anti-Trump sentiment.

In one exchange, Ms. Page wanted reassurance that then-candidate Donald Trump couldn’t win the election. Mr. Strzok replied: "No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it."

The inspector general also said the FBI was rife with people leaking to the press, or holding other cozy relationships that should worry the bureau. Some employees accepted sports tickets, went on golf outings, or had their dinners paid for by reporters.

#9  Most people are biased. its a built in protection method. "There is just something about her/him". The problem arises when your biases get mixed in or even lead your decision making.

#6  Oh whew! I'm glad they're finally solving the problem

How many hours of bias training will it take to permanently cure them?

#5  I would have thought it would more direct and productive to just fire any of them showing bias during an investigation.
Self correcting and all that.

#3  "The inspector general also said the FBI was rife with people leaking to the press..." An annex to the report demonstrates in one case that one reporter had access to eighteen FBI agents.

#2  Last time I checked, the 'academic' approach to ending bias was quotas (with a good dose of mandatory indoctrination classes).
