[Ynet] Analysis: Israel turned down Paleostinian organizations’ demand to issue official statement on ceasefire Tuesday evening, insisting that ’calm will be met with calm.’ Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", and Islamic Jihad kept firing rockets, but after IDF strikes in Gazoo left no casualties, they informed Egypt they were prepared to halt fire. Rockets fired after 1 am were launched by small ’rebel’ organizations. The statements issued by Hamas and the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... , that they have reached a ceasefire with Israel, are false. Their aim is to create an impression that Tuesday’s exchanges of fire led to a tie between the Paleostinian organizations and the IDF, and that the Paleostinian organizations managed to achieve a situation of mutual deterrence, in which the IDF was forced to change its pattern of action as a result of the barrages fired at the western Negev communities. |
