The Times of Israel is liveblogging events at the Gaza border
2018-04-13
The latest post, as of 8:21 a.m. EDT:
Gaza health ministry says 30 Palestinians injured, one critically

The Gazan health ministry says that 30 Palestinians have been injured during clashes with the IDF along the border with Israel.

One of the Palestinians was critically wounded, according to the ministry.

Palestinian protesters in Gaza hurled explosives and firebombs at Israeli troops manning the border, during what the Israel Defense Forces described as “several attempts” to damage the fence between Israel and the Gaza Strip and cross over into Israeli territory.

Thousands of Palestinians are taking part in violent riots in five locations along the length of the border, the army says. In addition to trying to cross the barrier, a number of attacks were carried out, with demonstrators throwing Molotov cocktails and explosives at Israeli soldiers.
The Israelis are out there with snipers, tanks, drones, and the usual riot control methods, against which the Gazans have piles of burning tires for a smoke screen, slingshots, molotov cocktails, more burning tires to send rolling against the fence, and the latest innovation: burning kites intended to set green Israeli fields aflame behind the soldiers. Given the usual Gazan ability with flying things, the odds are about half the kites will land on brown fields and trash heaps in Gaza, making the Strip even more uncomfortable than it was as of yesterday... for which Israel will of course be blamed.
Update at 9:45 a.m. EDT: The Jerusalem Post is liveblogging Gaza, too. Their latest posts:
16:36 363 wounded according to Gaza Health Ministry
363 individuals have thus far been wounded during Friday's protests on the Gaza border, the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza stated. This includes injuries sustained from both live fire and tear gas.

16:31 Protesters set off explosive, try to fly kite bomb over border
The IDF spokesperson stated that the violence on the border has continued throughout the past hour. An explosive device was placed and detonated near the Karni crossing, and may have caused Palestinian casualties. A kite bomb with a Molotov cocktail attached was attempted to be sent into Israeli territory, but ended up landing within Gaza.

This is in addition to several attempts by the over 10,000 protesters throughout the last hour to breach the border between Israel and Gaza and sabotage security infrastructure.
Aaaand we have a number.
The IDF continues to use riot dispersal methods as means to control the uprisings.

#1  Cute how the newsies report "wounded" as, I suspect, anyone who got a whiff of tear gas. It would be interesting if Napoleon could introduce them to grapeshot.
