took over the military bases in Dhusamareb after the withdrawal of Æthiopian forces on Sunday, a governor said.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Shabelle, Galgadud regional governor Nur Ahmed Hassan said the state troops are now in control of the all camps deserted by the Æthiopians.

Hassan added that the pull-out of the Æthiopian forces from Dhusamareb did not result any impact on the city’s overall security as their forces were already on standby for the move.

"Galmudug forces are capable of securing all areas under the state control," he said.
