"Nineveh police, backed by the U.S.-led Coalition forces, in coordination with the Iraqi intelligence, carried out an operation against Islamic State locations," Maj. Gen. Hamed Names al-Jabouri, said in a statement. The operation, according to Jabouri, "resulted in arrested 12 IS holy warriors, detonating six bombs and destroying three tunnels that were used by the members. The operation was carried out in al-Boweir village, west of Mosul." |
