#7 If the Asian giant closes off its waste management market, recycling centers across the US will be faced with a hard choice. They can either hire a much more expensive workforce which would raise prices for their services, require households to sort their own waste or be forced to use more landfills across all fifty US states. Sort? We can't even get people to separate! |

#4 I used to laugh with the staff at the recycling center when dropping off "e-waste" that it was just going to be shipped to China or Africa and dumped in a hole, same as it otherwise would have been here. |

#1 the west coast depends heavily on China to take in its recycled bottles and other plastic however, with natural gas prices low, a lot of Chinese companies are looking at importing plastic resins with specific properties |
