| Syrian Army begins storming two major militant strongholds at same time in east Damascus |

| [ALMASDARNEWS] Elite forces of the Syrian Army have kicked-off a new assault operation against armed rebel groups in Damascus’ East Ghouta region. According to military-affiliated sources, the Syrian Army is conducting a concentric attack in the southernmost pocket of the East Ghouta area, targeting the murderous Moslem stronghold districts of Kafr Batna and Saqba. Both districts are located in what sources describe as the rebel-controlled ’urban heartland’ of East Ghouta ‐ the attack by government forces is coming from both the northern (into Saqba) and eastern (into Kafr Batna) directions. At the present time, it is unclear which Syrian Army formations are involved in the assault operation, however given general knowledge on the disposition of government units in east Damascus, it may very well be the case that both the Tiger Forces Division and the Elite Republican Guard are involved. Ceasefire announced in strategic East Ghouta suburb [ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced a 24 hour ceasefire in the strategic suburb of Harasta in the East Ghouta. According to the Ministry of Defense, the 24 hour ceasefire is being implemented to allow civilians to flee the war zone in Harasta. The ceasefire could be expended, depending on the situation and cooperation of the bully boys, the Ministry of Defense. Today, 170 civilians managed to exit Harasta through the safe-zone established in the suburb. |
