The new mass grave has been discovered in the vicinity of the Achin district of Nangarhar province which was once one of the main strongholds of the terror group.

Provincial governor’s front man Attaullah Khogyani confirmed that the Afghan forces have discovered a new mass grave in Mamand Dara area.

He said the remnants of at least ten people were recovered from the grave and the victims were apparently those who were kidnapped from Pacher Agam district fifteen months ago.

This comes as the local officials said Monday that a mass grave of at least nine people who were executed by the ISIS faceless myrmidons more than a year ago has been discovered in this province.

Provincial governor’s front man Atauallah Khogyani said the mass grave was discovered from the vicinity of the Achin district.

He said the faceless myrmidons affiliated with the ISIS terrorist group kidnapped a group of twelve people nearly one and half years ago executed nine of them shortly after they were kidnapped.

Khogyani further added that the mass grave of the nine hostages executed by the ISIS faceless myrmidons were recovered from Mamand area of Achin on Sunday.
