Syrian Kurdish official: Deal for Syrian army to enter Afrin |

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Syrian Kurdish forces and the Damascus government have reached an agreement for the Syrian army to enter the Afrin region to help repel a Turkish offensive, a senior Kurdish official told Reuters on Sunday. Badran Jia Kurd, an adviser to the Kurdish-led administration in north Syria, said army troops will deploy along some border positions and could enter the Afrin region within the next two days. |

#3 Russian may get a chance to test out their anti-air in the near future. It would be a shame if the Turks lost plane(s) over Syrian territory. |

#2 If a NATO ally is attacked other members are obligated to defend. Doesn't say anything about being counterattacked. Turkey never got prior agreement to their attack on the Kurds. |
