#4  How is this "bathing for recreation" any different from listening to music, singing, kite flying, movie watching or any of a panoply of other things that are "haram" simply because they are fun? The burkini is about desiring special treatment not afforded to kaffirs.

While I applaud these visionaries my experience suggests that fully garbed people are often heavy to rescue from a watery death. Simply a safety issue.
