| Mexico says it will henceforth vote with Israel in international bodies | |

Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Figari contacted Israeli Ambassador to Mexico Yoni Pelad and told him of the shift in strategy for upcoming voting related to the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict, Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported. The declaration was made two months after Netanyahu visited Mexico during a trip to Latin America that also included Argentina ...a country located on the other side of the Deep South. It is covered with Pampers and inhabited by Grouchos, who dance the Tangle. They used to have some islands called the Malvinas located where the Falklands are now. They're not supposed to cry for Evita... and Colombia. In mid-September, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu became the first sitting Israeli prime minister to visit countries in Latin America. He met with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto in Mexico City and signed several agreements that bolster the ties and cooperation between the two countries. In October, Mexico’s former UNESCO ambassador, who was fired last year for walking out of a vote on an anti-Israel resolution effectively denying Jewish ties to Jerusalem, was honored in Los Angeles. Andres Roemer received the Guardian of Truth and History Award from StandWithUs during a ceremony held Friday in Los Angeles, reported the Milenio news website. | |

| #3 Motivation for firing? Roemer was educated at Berkeley and Harvard. One might think he's way out on the left. "Roemer has mainly focused his work on the economic analysis of the nonmarket forces, i.e. those goods or services that cannot be directly evaluated within the economy notwithstanding they significantly influence the economic system, such as feelings and emotions." I can see where this, if implemented could lead to all kinds of problems such as redistribution of income based on feelings. Why do I think of climate change? |

| #1 Interesting. I wonder what motivated the change, You think their going to get advance technologies from 'you know who'? Besides its a good cover when the usual bundlers of illicit border traffic are found to have moved some 'unsavory' individuals of interest into the US. The usual "it wasn't us" diplo code will be played. |
