| #6 Cultivate property and burn it off so people won't die. The videos I've seen of the fires were impressive for the thick, closely set trees & shrubs in a fire storm prone countryside. Then there are the highly flammable and closely set structures. |

| #5 The Rual tend to be the Faithful, and get wiped out the most in CA. Drought, State mis-management, EPA, and all other BS artists and charlatans run over that State like a steamroller. Build more dams. Cultivate property and burn it off so people won't die. Property Management means just that. You are responsible for what is threatening to it, and what is inside it. | #4 farmers, and very old land holders, mostly of Italian descent with a heavy smattering of very old mexican families. Also, some "new" money in the form of hip younger people who could affford to move to "wine country" or at least have a second home there |

| #3 They do real work in the vineyards where some of the fires are burning. They don't work for the government and as far as I know they are not subsidized. They are farmers and as such tend to be a little more down to earth than the Bay Area types. |
