| Cornell Black Students group issues 6-page list of demands |

| [LegalInsurrection] Most interesting, and perhaps reflecting a split in the black student community, the group demands specific extra help for non-immigrant blacks: "We demand that Cornell Admissions to come up with a plan to actively increase the presence of underrepresented Black students on this campus. We define underrepresented Black students as Black Americans who have several generations (more than two) in this country. The Black student population at Cornell disproportionately represents international or first-generation African or Caribbean students. While these students have a right to flourish at Cornell, there is a lack of investment in Black students whose families were affected directly by the African Holocaust in America. Cornell must work to actively support students whose families have been impacted for generations by white supremacy and American fascism." |

| #13 It's amazing how ppl who have not done shit so far in life except graduate high school have demands. Have you been to a high school recently? Students are graduated because that is easier than getting them indicted. |

| #9 the African Holocaust in America (i.e., the U.S.) a couple of statistics to consider: 1) The average slave in the Caribbean was expected to die within 3 years of arrival. The plantations needed a constant stream of new slaves to replace the ones that had died. 2) The average slave in South America was expected to die within 6 years of arrival. Brazil in particular was known as "Hell for Blacks." 3) The average slave in the U.S. was expected to live 20 years after arrival. They lived nearly as long as their free white neighbors. Roughly 9 million slaves were transported to the New World. Only half a million blacks were imported into the U.S. Why so few? Because the Black population in the U.S. was self sustaining. They did not have to replace mountains of dead slaves every year. Slaves could get married, raise children, hope to be freed in their old age. To the extent there is an African American holocaust, it is by Blacks, on Blacks, in the Black community. Al |

As a Cornell student, you aren't "oppressed"; you are privileged, coddled, pampered and indulged to a degree that I, as a white person, am scarcely able to even imagine.
