McCain ‘staring death in the face’ will inspire ‘good choices,’ Dem lawmaker says
2017-09-24
[WASHINGTONTIMES] Extemporaneous comments about the political benefits of Sen. John Maverick McCain
... the Senator-for-Life from Arizona, former presidential candidate and even more former foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution. As an ordinary citizen he greased the infamous hookers peeing on the Obamabed in Moscow dossier in an attempt to smear President Trump...
’s brain cancer this week prompted the family to lash out at Democratic Rep. Matt Cartwright.

A town hall meeting in Pennsylvania on Tuesday delved into dark territory when Republican efforts to repeal Obamacare
... aka the Affordable Care Act, an ineptly designed and worse executed piece of legislation designed to bring 17 percent of the U.S. economy under the direct control of the government. The previous iteration, known as Hillarycare, was laughed out of Washington. This stinker was passed on a party-line vote without being read...
became the topic of conversation. Mr. Cartwright told an audience at Lehigh Carbon Community College in Tamaqua that the Arizona Republican’s judgment on important matters will improve since "he’s staring death in the face right now."

Video of the incident first reported by The Washington Examiner shows the politician saying, "McCain I’m worried about. Also because the governor of Arizona came out in favor of the Lindsey Graham
... the endangered South Carolina RINO...
-Bill Cassidy bill so that puts pressure on McCain. But, man, something tells me McCain, he’s staring death in the face right now, so he’s probably going to make good choices and he’s not going to bend to political pressure."

Meghan McCain, the senator’s daughter, blasted the Democrat late Thursday for his rhetoric.

"What a disgusting and macabre statement," Tweeted.

Mr. Cartwright responded within hours with an apology.

#11  And just because it seems relevant:

I also think if we're gonna have communism we should go full bore, that The F-ing Guy and the silicone valley robber barons like F-er-burg need to be in house trailers just like everyone else.

#10  Right now I'm thinking of the last two years or so of my late employee G's cancer treatment and how it affected his ability to work.

I think he eventually 'beat' the cancer but that the depressed immune system was probably a factor in his death.

#9  Another health problem in that regards... I had some eye events, at one point, that were hinting at a retina problem but my eye doc didn't see anything so I went the whole 9 yards with the brain scan and everything. Turned out the eye doc's eyes were not good enough and I did have an eye problem.

But the point I am making is that you don't get a baseball sized brain tumor without some warning symptoms. Did this guy have any awareness of his own body's signals? Any self-awareness?

#7  Yes, #5. Never made the right choices in real life. The maverick, BS. Like a person drowning he will pull others down with him.

#6  Yes, a two year wait for his state ration of treatment would be very inspirational

#5  More like a drowning man grasping at anything or anyone to avoid the Big Suck. Envious (Publius Servilius) Casca.

#4  ....patient was permanently beyond coherence.

Both McCane and Clinton have already arrived at that stage.

#3  Well, there is precedent. Back in the day, Bob Woodward claimed a bedside interview with William Casey at a time when Casey's family said the patient was permanently beyond coherence.

#2  Once hospice care is deemed necessary, will there be some sort of Skyped 'up or down' McCain hand signal or Morse Code eyelid blink? These issues should be discussed and planned for in a timely manner.

#1  His brain tumor was supposed to be the size of a baseball.

Let's be honest. Nobody with a baseball sized brain tumor is going to be thinking coherently. I admit if I had a tumor on my brain that size I would need to consider anything I had to say to be possibly bat-shit crazy.
