Gorka says if anyone can bring peace to the Middle East, it's Trump
2017-05-22
[Wash Times] Sebastian Gorka, deputy assistant to President Trump, said Monday that if anyone can broker peace between the Israelis and Palestinians, it’s Mr. Trump.

"If any president over the last 40 years can bring peace to this part of the world, it is Donald J. Trump," Mr. Gorka said on Fox News. "He has said explicitly he’s not going to impose any deal upon the parties. They have to come together, and we can help midwife it."

Mr. Gorka said that the main negotiator between the parties is the president’s son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner.

"It is his son-in-law, it is Jared Kushner, one of his most trusted advisers, who is the point person for all of these issues. So he will be right in those meetings, especially."

The president is currently in Israel as part of his first foreign trip in office. His visit will include a meeting with Palestinian leaders.

#8  The one thing you need to know about the coming conflict in the Gulf is all Shiia oil exports need to transit the gulf. Most Sunni exports don't.

#7  The Muslim middle east is fueled by hate filled zealots, oil revenue, and Saudi enlightened self-interest.

Oil revenue are drying up and the Saudi princes may be looking for survival now. Who knows what could happen when the jihad financing dries up. Can a frothing zealot survive on a diet of sand and blood?

#6  Gorka is a very interesting man. From time to time he shines brightly. "midwife it" yes, best way to present this approach. Hands on leadership in action.

#5  It is my opinion that it cannot be done.

Mine too. Short of a catastrophic war. Which may well be coming. The current Syrian and Yemen wars look to me like the Balkan wars that were the prelude to WWI.

#3  It is my opinion that it cannot be done. But President Trump is the first American president who might possibly recognize that fact after performing the experiment, and the first who might openly place the blame where it properly belongs -- and make it stick. I think Bibi Netanyahu is counting on that.

#2  El SISI had words of praise for Trump "“Mr. President, let me express our appreciation and respect,” Sisi said through a translator.

“Let me say that you have a unique personality that is capable of doing the impossible.”

Trump laughed and replied, “That’s very interesting…I agree.”" I agree...,I love it.
