Shots fired from passing car at Swedish asylum centre

[TheLocal.se] A security guard alerted police after shots were fired towards him at an asylum centre for unaccompanied refugee minors at Sjuntorp near Trollhättan early on Saturday.
A silver Audi approached the centre at around 2am Saturday morning, before one or two people got out of the car before getting back in. A window was then wound down and two shots fired at the guard before the car drove away, reports TT.
German court rules against migrant who demanded allowance

[DW] A German court in Brendenburg state has sided with state authorities who cut benefits to a 49 year old Cameroon national after the man refused nineteen times to help clear bureaucratic hurdles and get a valid passport for his deportation. The man's asylum request was rejected 13 years ago.
The migrant should only be provided with "bare necessities" to ensure his survival, the Federal Social Welfare Court in Kassel said on Friday.
Greek court jails 2 Swedish men over ISIS membership

[Ynet] A Greek court has convicted two Swedish nationals of belonging to the Islamic State group, and sentenced them to 15 years imprisonment. The men's lawyer says they were also found guilty of arms possession—a pair of hunting knives—with the intent of supplying a terrorist group. The men, aged 30 and 21, were convicted Friday in the northeastern town of Alexandroupoli. They were arrested in February last year at a bus stop near the Turkish border.

Imam accused in Denmark of calling for murder of Jews

[IsraelTimes] Denmark’s Jewish community has filed a complaint over an imam accused of calling for the murder of Jews in a case sparking political opprobrium, it emerged Thursday.
Imam Mundhir Abdallah preaches in the working class Copenhagen suburb of Norrebro at the Masjid Al-Faruq mosque, which media have previously linked to radical Islam. He stands accused of citing a hadith or Koranic narrative on March 31 calling for Muslims to rise up against Jews.
“Judgement Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and kill them,” begins Abdallah’s address in footage on YouTube, according to a transcript of the original Arabic provided by US organisation the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).
According to broadcaster DR, Omar al-Hussein, who was behind a series of shootings in Copenhagen in February 2015 which left two people dead, had visited the mosque the day before going on the rampage. The Dane of Palestinian origin had sworn allegiance to Islamic State and shot and killed one person at a cultural centre hosting a conference on freedom of expression, before killing a Jewish man outside a synagogue. Police later shot him dead after he fired on them in a third incident.

Belgian language book for migrants refers to bombs, jails

The school’s director, Bernard Delecluse, has apologized for the “mistake,” saying the offending pages had gone unnoticed for about three years. The “unfortunate sentences” have now been removed, Delecluse said.
Austrian court jails Syrian for life for killing Assad soldiers

[Ynet] An Austrian court jailed a Syrian asylum seeker for life for murdering 20 wounded soldiers of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's army while fighting alongside an anti-Assad militia near the city of Homs, a court spokesman said. An interpreter had told the court the 27-year-old man recounted the episode to him in Arabic, but the accused argued his statement had been mistranslated. The jury decided against the man late on Wednesday, according to the spokesman.
