Imagine how Hillary Clinton must have felt at the inauguration
2017-01-22
[ABC.NET.AU] When Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
arrived at the inaugural luncheon following his swearing-in as US President, he immediately shook hands with his election rival Hillary Clinton
... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, sometimes described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as a crook...
, who was sitting with members of his family.

"There is something that I wanted to say," he told those who had gathered.

"I was very honoured -- very, very honoured -- when I heard that President Bill Clinton
...former Democratic president of the U.S. Bill was the second U.S. president to be impeached, the first to deny that oral sex was sex, the first to have difficulty with the definition of is...
and Secretary Hillary Clinton was coming today.

"I'd like you to stand up, I'd like you to stand up."

What followed was a standing ovation, but it wasn't the one that Mrs Clinton had been looking forward to getting on January 20, 2017, before her dream of returning to the White House -- this time as president rather than first lady -- was shattered last November.

#8  Where was Mrs. Wiener?

She slid in quietly behind her boss in the reviewing stand according to the Daily Mail, which of course has photos.

#7  The most corrupt American politicians since Boss Tweed and Huey Long. They are vile and what they did to our country and the rule of law is obscene. The deserve nothing better than to be smeared with honey and staked over a fire ants nest in the sun.

#6  For me the most glorious thing of the entire inauguration was watching Bill and Hillary leave the capital and get into a single sedan to drive away the end of great expectations and return to being almost unimportant. Everything they do has the undercurrent of power and access, which can be bought. When they are clearly relegated to sideline mementos of past significance no one wants to pay for their silly speeches or fund that ridiculous bribery fund masquerading as a charity. Huma waited outside and Bill will go back to serial lechery as they slide into insignificance. Thank God!

#2  ...rather than first lady...

Was she ever *really* "first lady"?

I'm sure Bill spent more time "admiring" (putting it loosely) and "valuing" (again, putting it loosely) women (...uh...putting it loosely) other than Hillary than he did her.

If she wants to claim the title, I'm guessing its more akin to "interim head coach" than it was a permanent position.

#1  "There is something that I wanted to say," he told those who had gathered.

"And that is, it looks like you ended up in the same seat you had in 2012."
