| Revolutionary forces gain ground in last ISIS-held area in Sirte |

| [Libya Observer] Misrata-led forces started Thursday their final battle in Sirte, moving into Jiza apartment blocks, the last ISIS-held area in the city. Backed by heavy artillery shelling, the infantry advanced into the residential blocks and clashed with the remnants of ISIS diehards. 2 revolutionary fighters were killed and 8 others wounded in the clashes, the field hospital reported. Military sources confirmed that the Misrata-led forces gained control of some residential blocks and started a combing operation to remove landmines and IEDs. |
