2016-10-21
Corrected yet?
[BREITBART] On Tuesday’s"CNN Newsroom," anchor Brooke Baldwin asserted that "there already are are term limits" on members of Congress.

Baldwin said, "[L]et me just relay this to everyone, that apparently, from the Trump camp, there is another major announcement that Trump will make today as part of his pledge to ’drain the swamp,’ we keep hearing ’drain the swamp’ in Washington. He says, ’If I’m elected president, I will push for a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress,’ correct me, there already are term limits, so what does he mean?

#9  Read Starship Troopers - lines it out quite clear. The director of the movie openly admits the movie was supposed to be a parody of the book.

In 9th grade, many of my prog peers were chanting great on Athenian Democracy over Republicans! Sounds crazy - to the educated, but it was a catchy phrase. Except, I knew the Dewey Decimal System and could look up such things. Turns out they were cheering for the exact opposite thing they were agitating for, because Catchphrase!

#8  The question is, does Baldwin know she's wrong and she's just planting misinformation for her ignorant audience which can be corrected later (if anyone notices) after the election.

#7  Well then Brooke, how come we keep getting these Apparatchiks-for-Life"? It would seem the "Term Limits" would limit corruption and voter fraud. Not enough time to organize for either. Pols would tend to think there's no money in it.

#6  a la Heinlein, there are civilians and then there are citizens. Let me guess which one is Broke Baldwin.
(Yes, I misspelled her first name by accident but then I realized this is more correct!)

#2  I think we all should be born as residents, but have to take the same Civics test as foreign applicants and pass at 18 (or older) to be eligible to be a voting citizen.

#1  Once upon a time, people learned such things in 9th grade Civics class.
