| 3 shooting suspects detained in Basra (IraqiNews.com) Basra – Security committee of Basra Provincial Council announced that the security forces have arrested three persons accused of targeting coffee shops in the province. Head of the security committee Jabbar al-Saedi, in a statement issued to the media, said, “The commander of Basra Operations Major General Jamil al-Shamry has announced about the completion of investigations and monitoring the surveillance cameras in the popular coffee shops that were targeted in the past few days. Three suspects were identified and arrested based on the investigation findings.” Saedi also called upon to the Council for advice and guidance to minimize the negative practices and not use other methods to terrorize and intimidate the people of Basra. |
