Students Claim Pro-Trump White Board Message Is ‘Violence’
2016-03-31
[BREITBART] Chaos erupted at an all-female university in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, over the weekend after a Mexican-American student woke on Saturday to a pro-Trump message written on her white board.

The message, which simply read "#Trump2016," has been called an act of "intentional violence" in a university-wide email sent by Minjoo Kim, the student body president at Scripps College in Claremont, California.

"This morning, a Mexican-American Scripps student woke up to find her whiteboard vandalized with the phrase ‘#Trump2016.’ This racist act is completely unacceptable," Kim wrote. "Regardless of your political party, this intentional violence committed directly to a student of color proves to be another testament that racism continues to be an undeniable problem and alarming threat on our campuses."

Kim claimed that the pro-Trump message violates Scripps’ goal of creating an "inclusive, safe, and welcoming community." She recommended her peers seek out university counseling services if the 10 character message threatens their "mental and emotional health."

The student on the receiving end of the hashtag vandalism took to Facebook where she claimed that her experience with the dry-erase defacement is a reminder that "racism is alive and well."

#25  A little late, of course. Shoulda riffed on "Harris" instead of "Polaris." Always with the hindsight.

#24  Would it have been terribly careless
When Krushchev was trying to scare us,
To show this was futile
(I know it sounds brutal)
By nuking the cafes of Paris?

#21  Hat tip g(r)om. Good to see you're schooled in the downside of communism as well. Here is a piece you may enjoy.

No Jewish connection that I could ascertain, but plenty of blood on everyone else's hands. Last paragraph is a gut punch and an unmistakable template still in widespread use today:

"The buildup of the Khmer Rouge is one of the more striking examples of the cynicism of the imperial mindset, in which the lives of others are sacrificed on the altar of geopolitical interests. That philosophy remains very much alive today."

#19  Klingon, I ain't, but I was curious. For the rest of you - It was formed in 1968 as an offshoot of the Vietnam People's Army from North Vietnam. It was the ruling party in Cambodia from 1975 to 1979. It allied with North Vietnam, the Viet Cong, and Pathet Lao during the Vietnam War against the anti-communist forces.

The organization is remembered especially for orchestrating the Cambodian genocide, which resulted from the enforcement of its social engineering policies. Its attempts at agricultural reform led to widespread famine, while its insistence on absolute self-sufficiency, even in the supply of medicine, led to the death of thousands from treatable diseases such as malaria. Arbitrary executions and torture carried out by its cadres against perceived subversive elements, or during purges of its own ranks between 1975 and 1978, are considered to have constituted genocide.

#16  Maybe after Trump has been in office for while our little Chicana buttercup here will wake up one fine morning and notice that the sun still rises in the east.

#15  ..well, technically, the earth rotates. The sun doesn't rise. However, it's one of those social norms that connotes white oppressive privilege. (do I need to put a /sarc on that? Particularly for any brave snowflake who inadvertently wanders on to the Rant.)

I feel sorry for the victim but feel more sorry the perp has little imagination and still gets a place at university.

#10  When Trump wins will he actually have the power to fix this problem?

Well, I'd prefer a reincarnation of Teddy Roosevelt (or Andrew Jackson)...

Review indeed! I had the pleasure of knowing a rather talented Cambodian fellow who had been summoned from his Khmer detention camp hut to repair a KR Cadre office air conditioner. Unlike the previous three repairmen, he successfully repaired the AC unit.... and lived.

a valid point. I do not think it is funny at all. I am torn between being horrified at the waste of human life and terrified for the future of the U.S.

Unlike cambodia, however we have not yet decayed to the point where these powder puffs pose a real threat. In absolute numbers there are too few, and they are too thinly spread out.

This can change, but the rot has not gotten deep enough yet. I doubt I will live long enough for things to get that bad. I do not envy the lot of those 10-20 years younger than me, though.

#1  Okay. latest meltdown trigger fad meets fake hate-crime. yawn.

What is going to happen to these special snowflakes when they graduate? There aren't nearly enough government & academic admin jobs to hire them all.

I can hear the job interview now "Okay, so, ms. emory grad, what do you do when President Trump walks in the door..."
