(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – A local source in Kirkuk province said on Wednesday, that the ISIS militants seized houses of civilians in Hawija, while pointed out that the militants forced those people to pay 50 thousand dinars in exchange for staying in their homes.
The source said in a brief statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The ISIS began, today, to impose a levy on the homes of civilians in Hawija and the areas of al-Abasi, Zab and Riyadh (55 km southwest of Kirkuk), due to the escape of the majority of young people and government staff from those areas.”
The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “The ISIS told the residents to pay 50 thousand dinars in exchange for housing in their homes,” pointing out that, “The ISIS elements expelled dozens of civilians from their homes.” |
