SNA repulses Al shabaab in Qoryoley raid |

Fighters belonging to the Al Qaeda-affiliated Al shabaab attacked Qoryoley district, prompting hours long fight with Somali Government troops there, an official said. Confirming the incident, Qoryoley district commissioner Mohamed Hajji, told Radio Shabelle that Somali National Army (SNA) resisted fiercely and the town is still under the government control. Qoryoley residents have also confirmed the attack and said SNA soldiers are in control of the town which lies 120 kilometers north west of Somali capital, Mogadishu.
