| Five killed as drug-peddling groups clash in Old Golimar |

| KARACHI: Pitched battles between two groups involved in drug peddling turned the city’s Old Golimar area resulted in the death of five people while one person was injured. Rangers have launched an operation in the area Pak Colony area of Old Golimar. During the door-to-door search operation more than 50 people have been rounded up while drug dens have been demolished. According to reports, following the clash between the two groups, two people died on the spot while four were shifted to the hospital where three succumbed to their injuries. The deceased have been identified as Waseem ,Mairaj, Mohd Shahid, Anwar Hussain and Mohd Fahim. During the ensuing operation launched by Police and Rangers, the police set alight the area used by drug addicts while the drug dens have been demolished. |
