Pak security forces raid hostel |

JHANG: Law enforcement agencies on Wednesday raided a private hostel in Jhang that was being used as recruitment centre for Al-Qaida. The forces recovered prohibited literature and arms as well from the hostel, reports said, while the accused managed to escape. According to the sources, the owner of a private hostel in Jhang, Abdul Mannan is a key member of Al-Qaida and he was using the hostel to recruit young students for the banned terrorist organisation. The boys residing in the hostel were regularly given lectures to brainwash them with the extremist mindset. Counter Terrorism Department recovered videos and literature about terrorism along with the hand bombs and firearms during their raid on the hostel. Abdul Mannan, who was a government employee in Sui Gas Department in Sargodha, also provided financial aid to the terrorists. Search operation for his arrest is underway. |
