| Mayhem in Mosul: 48 journalists kidnapped, 13 die |

| [ARA News] QAMISHLI – A total of 48 cases of abduction among media workers and journalists in the northwestern Iraqi city of Mosul have been documented since the radical group of Islamic State (ISIS) stormed the city, Journalist Freedoms Observatory (JFO) said on Thursday. “At least 13 journalists have been brutally executed by the terror group so far,” the organization. Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and JFO issued a joint report regarding the violations committed against journalists in Mosul, saying: “According to figures documented by the JFO since June 2014, some 48 cases of abduction in the ranks of journalists and local media workers have been documented, at least 13 journalists have been killed by ISIS in the city of Mosul so far.” The report added that some of the imprisoned journalists were released, but still the fate of dozens others remains ambiguous.
