Mujahideen Should Help Fight Taliban: Massoud
2015-10-16
[Tolo News] President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
's special representative for reforms and good governance, Ahmad Zia Massoud, declared Thursday that the government would like to include Mujahideen in formal security structures so they can help lead the war against the Taliban.

This is the second senior government official that has come out in support of mobilization of Mujahideen over the past few days. Recently, the foreign affairs minister Salahuddin Rabbani, during his visit to northern provinces, called on Mujahideen to mobilize themselves and pick up arms against the Taliban.

While meeting with a number of former Jihadi commanders in Kapisa province, north of Kabul
...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
, Massoud said the government had reached a decision that based on the war experience of Mujahideen, they should be given the responsibility to fight the Death Eaters.

"We have reached this conclusion that we must regulate our respected Mujahideen and young people within the framework of security institutions because these Mujahideen, especially their commanders have given their test during the war and resistance era so that they should be able to take over the leadership of war," Massoud said, who received a warm welcome from the people of Kapisa and the ex-jihadists.

In addition, he accused Pakistain of harboring terrorist groups and committing crimes in Afghanistan.

During his speech at the gathering, he accused Pakistain more than 10 times of fueling militancy in the country.

"Pakistain has always tried to eliminate the political stability of Afghanistan through Taliban, al-Qaeda and Daesh [Islamic State] to launch cowardly attacks on different parts of our country," said Massoud, the brother of late National Hero Ahmad Shah Massoud.

According to him, relying on Pakistain's repeated and unpracticed commitments for peace talks is just a waste of time.

He urged that the government will not be successful in talking peace with the Taliban.

Moreover, some politicians present at the gathering emphasized that the mobilization of people and Jihadi commanders was not aimed at building militia groups.

"Our people are ready to defend their country and we reject the propaganda that suggest it is building militia," said Mirdad Nijrabi, a member of the internal commission of Wolesi Jirga. "This means to stand alongside the security forces."
